We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Yixing where 3rd placed Shanxi Rui Flame (13-6) was crushed by fourth ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (12-6) 94-62 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Jiangsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Jiangsu Phoenix forced 21 Shanxi Rui Flame turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Yi Qiang (193-94) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). International point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) helped adding 26 points and 5 assists. American Maya Moore (183-89, college: Connecticut) responded with 32 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and international power forward XueYa Ma (190-93) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Jiangsu Phoenix maintains fourth place with 12-6 record. Defending champion Shanxi Rui Flame keeps the third position with six games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix will face league's leader Beijing Great Wall at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
