Bottom-ranked Sanaye is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to third ranked Petrochimi (8-2) 75-53 on Thursday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Petrochimi. Sanaye managed to win second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sanaye to just 4 points in third quarter. Petrochimi forced 27 Sanaye turnovers. The winners were led by international Mohammad Jamshidi (199-91) who scored that evening 13 points and 5 assists and international Hamed Sohrabnejad (205-83) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Petrochimi players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by the former international guard Majid GhasemZadeh (187-89) did not help to save the game for Sanaye. Farid Zarghi (203-79) added 9 points. Defending champion maintains third position with 8-2 record having just three points less than leader Azad. Loser Sanaye still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Petrochimi will meet at home Shahrdari Gorgan (#6) in the next round. Sanaye will play against Samen in Mash'had and hopes to get finally their first victory.
