Regular Season Round 24: Liaoning H. - Xinjiang FT 114-106

CBA top team - Liaoning Hunters (23-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (16-8) in Yingkou 114-106. Xinjiang Flying Tige was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 65-55 second half run of Liaoning Hunters. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Xinjiang Flying Tige was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina) supported him with 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists by American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) did not help to save the game for Xinjiang Flying Tige. American point guard Sebastian Telfair (183-85) added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Liaoning Hunters maintains first position with 23-2 record. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Liaoning Hunters will play against Shanghai Sharks (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play against TianJin Steel (#13) in Tianjin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
