Nineteenth-ranked Bayi Rockets (3-21) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Qingdao Eagles (16-7) in Ningbo. The visitors from Qingdao managed to secure only one-point victory 104-103. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Bayi Rockets took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Qingdao Eagles took control winning two of next three quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 1 point. 29 personal fouls committed by Bayi Rockets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. American point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington, agency: Comsport) contributed with 20 points for the winners. The former international guard Shuo Han (196-86) replied with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Lehei De (208-87) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bayi Rockets. Five Qingdao Eagles and four Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Qingdao Eagles moved-up to sixth place. Bayi Rockets lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 21 games lost. Qingdao Eagles' next round opponent will be Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#15) in Hangzhou and are hoping to win another game. Bayi Rockets will play on the road against Fujian (#17) in Jinjiang and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
