Rather expected game when 5th ranked SPO Rouen (8-7) was defeated on the road by third ranked Strasbourg IG (12-3) 77-68 on Friday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Strasbourg IG dominated on the defensive end, holding SPO Rouen to just 4 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to SPO Rouen's 24 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Mickael Gelabale (215-83, agency: Three Eye Sports) helped adding 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Strasbourg IG players scored in double figures.
