Rather expected game when 11th ranked AV Cantu (4-8) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Vanoli Cremona (7-5) 71-63 on Friday. AV Cantu trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 20-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 63-71 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Luca Vitali (201-86) who added 11 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Bulgarian center Eric Williams (206-84, college: Wake Forest) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Vanoli Cremona moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sidigas AV and Dolomiti En. TR. AV Cantu lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Vanoli Cremona will face league's second-placed Umana Venezia on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AV Cantu will play against Trenkwalder RE (#3) and hope to win that game.
