The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Halcones UV Xalapa's (16-5) road victory over 5th ranked Huracanes (14-9) 65-64 on Saturday. Huracanes were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 18-14 charge of Halcones UV Xalapa, which allowed them to win the game. International center Adam Parada (213-81, college: Cal-Irvine) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Halcones UV Xalapa have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Huracanes at the other side keep the fifth position with nine games lost. Halcones UV Xalapa will face Correcaminos (#10) in Ciudad Victoria in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Huracanes will play at home against the league's leader Halcones Rojos (#1) and hope to win that game.
