There was a surprise result when tenth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (8-7) defeated at home higher ranked Le Mans (8-7) 80-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Le Mans managed to win second period 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Le Mans to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Le Mans 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass.
