Seventh-ranked Shinshu BW (9-12) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Niigata Albirex (15-10) on Saturday. Niigata Albirex managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-77. Niigata Albirex shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) fired 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Niigata Albirex have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Osaka Evessa.
