Round 14 in A2 Silver means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Roseto where host Roseto (5-9) beat league's leader Ravenna (10-4) 62-56 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ravenna. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized French center Sylvere Bryan (208-81, college: Tampa, agency: Interperformances) who scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Pierpaolo Marini (192-93) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Emmanuel Holloway (185-86, college: Illinois St., agency: Blacktop Management) produced 12 points and his fellow American import forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Roseto moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Latina Basket. Ravenna at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Treviso Basket who have the same record. Ravenna will play next round against strong Reggio Calabr. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Roseto will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Legnano in Castellanza.
