Regular Season Round 26: Niigata Albirex - Shinshu BW 78-57
Date: December 28, 2014
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Shinshu BW (9-13) was outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Niigata Albirex (16-10) 78-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Niigata Albirex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Russell Carter (196-85, college: Notre Dame) who scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) chipped in 13 points. Forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Niigata Albirex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 16-10 record. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 13 games lost. Niigata Albirex will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play on the road against Okinawa GK (#3) and hope to win that game.
