Very important is a road loss of second ranked Treviso Basket (10-4) against sixth ranked Tortona (8-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Treviso Basket was defeated by Tortona in Tortona 71-59. It looked good early as Treviso Basket took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tortona took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 12 points. They also forced 22 Treviso Basket turnovers. American Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Paolo Rotondo (205-89, agency: Players Group) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Tortona players scored in double figures. The former international guard Matteo Fantinelli (195-93) replied with 11 points and 4 assists and American point guard Coron Williams (185-89, college: Wake Forest) added 17 points in the effort for Treviso Basket. Tortona moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Recanati. Treviso Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Ravenna and Reggio Calabr.. Tortona will play against Chieti (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Treviso Basket will play against Aget Service IM (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
