Regular Season Round 25: Beijing Ducks - Jilin NE T. 124-121

Eighth-ranked Jilin Tigers (15-10) made lots of trouble for third ranked Beijing Ducks (19-6) on Sunday. Beijing Ducks managed to secure only three-point victory 124-121. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Jilin Tigers. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 38-29 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Beijing Ducks made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) fired a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. His fellow American import guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Syrian guard Michel Madanly (194-81) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains third place with 19-6 record having six points less than leader Liaoning H. Jilin Tigers at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Beijing Ducks are looking forward to face Shandong Bulls (#11) in Jinan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Shanghai Sharks and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
