Regular Season Round 26: Huracanes - Halc.Rojos 93-104

Leader Halcones Rojos delivered the twenty first victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Huracanes (14-10) 104-93 in Tampico. The game was mostly controlled by Halcones Rojos. Huracanes was better in third quarter 32-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. International point guard Paul Stoll (180-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 assists. American forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Cliff Tucker (198-89, college: Maryland) replied with 31 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) added 19 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Huracanes. Five Halcones Rojos and four Huracanes players scored in double figures. Huracanes' coach Angel Gonzalez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Halcones Rojos (21-3) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Huracanes lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Halcones Rojos will play against Barreteros (#13) in Zacatecas in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Huracanes will play on the road against Gigantes (#12) in Toluca and hope to get back on the winning track.
