No shocking result in a game when second ranked Umana Venezia (11-2) smashed at home 7th ranked Vanoli Cremona (7-6) 82-56 on Monday. The game without a history. Umana Venezia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Umana Venezia outrebounded Vanoli Cremona 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Phil Goss (188-83, college: Drexel) fired 17 points for the winners. Croatian forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. The former international forward Luca Campani (208-90) produced 11 points and international point guard Luca Vitali (201-86) added 6 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Umana Venezia. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with EA7 Armani. Loser Vanoli Cremona keeps the seventh place with six games lost.
