Regular Season Round 22: LF Basket - Sundsvall 87-73

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sundsvall Dragons (11-6) against sixth ranked LF Basket (11-5) on Monday night. Visiting Sundsvall Dragons were defeated by LF Basket in Lulea 87-73. The game without a history. LF Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Sundsvall Dragons' players. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Greek forward Alexandros Sigounas (200-88, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four LF Basket players scored in double figures. LF Basket's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. LF Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Boras. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Uppsala. LF Basket will play against league's second-placed Sodertalje Kings on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sundsvall Dragons will play against Nassjo and hope to get back on the winning track.
