Very important is a road loss of third ranked Trenkwalder RE (9-4) against fourteenth ranked AV Cantu (5-8) on Monday night. Visiting Trenkwalder RE was edged by AV Cantu in a tough game in Cantu 63-64. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-19. But Trenkwalder RE won second period 16-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AV Cantu shot 18 for 24 from the free-throw line, while Trenkwalder RE only scored two points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. American-Bulgarian center Eric Williams (206-84, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul, agency: Priority Sports) answered with 22 points and international point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Trenkwalder RE. AV Cantu moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Trenkwalder RE at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Banco di Srd and Enel Brindisi. AV Cantu will play against VL Pesaro (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Trenkwalder RE will play against Juvecaserta (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
