The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Maccabi K/G as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Maccabi K/G smashed 8th ranked Ironi Ashkelon in Kiryat Gat 90-70. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi K/G. Ironi Ashkelon managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
