The most surprising game was the first loss of PGE Turow (13-1) in Zgorzelec on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked Trefl (8-6) 104-103. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of PGE Turow. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 30-22 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Trefl made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Lithuanian forward Eimantas Bendzius (205-90) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian center Tautvydas Lydeka (208-83) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and American guard Mardy Collins (198-84, college: Temple) scored 20 points. Five Trefl and four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. PGE Turow's coach Miodrag Rajkovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trefl moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Energa Czarni. Defending champion PGE Turow still keeps top position with one game lost. Trefl is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Wikana Start (#16) in Lublin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PGE Turow will play on the road against Stelmet (#3) in Zielona Gora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
