An interesting game for Dandenong Rangers (8-7) which played road game in Sydney against 4th placed Sydney Uni Flames (7-7). Fourth ranked Dandenong Rangers had an easy win 93-78. The game was mostly controlled by Dandenong Rangers. Sydney Uni Flames managed to win fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international forward Penny Taylor (185-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Alice Kunek (187-91) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Guard Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) answered with 23 points and American forward Mikaela Ruef (190-90, college: Stanford) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sydney Uni Flames. Sydney Uni Flames' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dandenong Rangers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bulleen B. Sydney Uni Flames at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Dandenong Rangers is looking forward to face league's leader Townsville Fire on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sydney Uni Flames will play against West Coast Waves (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
