Regular Season Round 13: UCD Marian - Killester 61-66

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Dublin: Killester (#3) and UCD Marian (#5). UCD Marian was defeated at home 61-66 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of UCD Marian. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American forward Jermaine Turner (195-74, college: Dowling) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Ciaran Roe (170-93) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Preston Ross (198, college: Winston Salem) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Dan James (189-90) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UCD Marian. Killester have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader UCC Demons. UCD Marian at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Killester are looking forward to face Neptune Cork (#6) at home in the next round. UCD Marian's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Dublin to the arena Templeogue.
