Regular Season Round 15: Zornotza - Cambados 74-55

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Cambados (7-7) was smashed by fifth ranked Zornotza (9-5) in Amorebieta-Echano 74-55. The game was mostly controlled by Zornotza. Cambados was better in fourth quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Sasa Borovnjak (206-89, college: Penn St.) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Tre Bowman (196-91, college: Iona) chipped in 16 points. Four Zornotza players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) who recorded 17 points and Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-94) added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Zornotza maintains fifth place with 9-5 record. Cambados at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Zornotza's next round opponent will be higher ranked Caceres Basket (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cambados will play against Fuenlabrada (#8) in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
