Regular Season Round 16: LKS Lodz - Gimbasket Przemysl 58-59

Ninth-ranked LKS Lodz (4-9) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Gimbasket Przemysl (10-2) on Sunday. The visitors from Przemysl managed to secure only one-point victory 59-58. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 59-58. Worth to mention a great performance of Artur Mikolajko (197-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Bartosz Bal (190-89) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Swingman Aleksander Lenczuk (193-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Arkadiusz Swit (200-93) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for LKS Lodz. LKS Lodz's coach Piotr Zych rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Gimbasket Przemysl maintains second position in Group B with 10-2 record having five points less than leader Gornik. LKS Lodz lost fourth consecutive game. LKS Lodz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Gimbasket Przemysl are looking forward to face Piaseczno (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LKS Lodz will play against Polonia W-wa in Warszawa and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
