BJ League top team - Hamamatsu Phoenix (23-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Bambitious Nara (9-15) 79-65. The game without a history. Hamamatsu Phoenix led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Nigerian-Canadian Olu Ashaolu (200-88, college: Oregon) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Tomoya Higashino allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hamamatsu Phoenix have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 23-3 record. Bambitious Nara at the other side keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Shinshu BW. Hamamatsu Phoenix will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bambitious Nara will play on the road against Shiga L-Stars (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
