Very predictable result when fifth ranked Nowa Sol (8-6) rolled over at home 10th ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (4-11) 97-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Nowa Sol. Slask 2 Wroclaw was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nowa Sol dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Slask 2 Wroclaw's 28. Nowa Sol forced 19 Slask 2 Wroclaw turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Quite impressive performance for center Rafal Rajewicz (204-88, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 rebounds. Maciej Kucharek (204-93) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Nowa Sol players scored in double figures. Maksym Kulon (191-93) replied with 13 points and 7 assists and center Marcel Kliniewski (213-96) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Slask 2 Wroclaw. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nowa Sol have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in Group D. Loser Slask 2 Wroclaw keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Nowa Sol will face league's leader Gornik in Walbrzych in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Slask 2 Wroclaw will play at home against Sudety (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
