Regular Season Round 28: Shanghai S. - Shandong FB 81-102

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Shandong Bulls' (14-14) road victory over 12th ranked Shanghai Sharks (12-16) 102-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Shanghai Sharks was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Shanghai Sharks 48-29 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville) fired a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International center HanLin Tao (208-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and the former international center ZhaoXu Zhang (221-87, college: California) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Shanghai Sharks' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Shandong Bulls moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Foshan LL. Shanghai Sharks lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Shandong Bulls will face higher ranked Qingdao Eagles (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Shanghai Sharks will play against Jiangsu TX (#17) and hope to win that game.
