A very interesting game took place in Chieti. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Tortona (8-7) to tenth ranked Chieti (7-8) 73-71 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tortona. Tortona was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 21-17 charge of Chieti, which allowed them to win the game. They made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Two Points) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Paolo Rotondo (205-89, agency: Players Group) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chieti moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Legnano. Newly promoted Tortona keeps the sixth position with seven games lost.
