Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Vanoli Cremona and 7th ranked Air Avellino had identical 7-6 record. This time Vanoli Cremona used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Avellino 88-81 on Sunday night. Air Avellino was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-17 charge of Vanoli Cremona, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Kenny Hayes (188-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!) (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vanoli Cremona (8-6) moved-up to seventh place. Loser Air Avellino dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Vanoli Cremona will face higher ranked Banco di Srd (#3) in Sassari in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Air Avellino will play at home against Cimberio Varese (#14) and hope to win that game.
