Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Dolomiti En. TR (9-5) won against 10th ranked Upea CdO (5-9) in Trento 90-73 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 47-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Dolomiti En. TR dominated on the defensive end, holding Upea CdO to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Upea CdO 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. American power forward Josh Owens (203-88, college: Stanford) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Davide Pascolo (201-90) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dolomiti En. TR will face Granarolo BO (#11) in Bologna in the next round where they are favorite. Upea CdO will play at home against the league's second-placed Umana Venezia and hope to win that game.
