Regular Season Round 13: Arras - Nantes 60-56

Very expected game when 11th ranked Nantes Reze (4-9) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Arras (10-3) 60-56 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Nantes Reze was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 21-12 charge of Arras, which allowed them to win the game. Mali center Djene Diawara (192-85, agency: Comsport) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Serbian Lidija Turcinovic (184-94, agency: Comsport) chipped in 13 points and 4 steals. At the losing side the former international power forward Aurelie Bonnan (187-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Arras. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Nantes Reze keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Arras will face league's leader Bourges at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nantes Reze will play against Tarbes (#6) and hope to win that game.
