Very expected game when 15th ranked Fujian (7-21) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Beijing Ducks (20-8) 105-89 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 53-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Beijing Ducks looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Fujian's players. The former international Yue Sun (206-85) fired 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Beijing Ducks' coach LuLei Min used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. International Zhelin Wang (215-94) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and American D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) added 25 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Beijing Ducks and five Fujian players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Guangsha L. Loser Fujian dropped to the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Beijing Ducks will have a break next round. Fujian will play on the road against Jilin Tigers (#9) in Changchun and hope to win that game.
