Very important is a road loss of second ranked Maccabi Rishon (9-5) against eighth ranked Maccabi Haifa (6-8) on Monday night. Visiting Maccabi Rishon was defeated by Maccabi Haifa in a tough game in Haifa 73-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Rishon. Five Maccabi Haifa and four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. Maccabi Haifa moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hapoel Eilat. Maccabi Rishon at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Hapoel J-M and Ironi Nes-Ziona. Maccabi Haifa will play against higher ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Maccabi Rishon will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#3) in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
