No shocking result in a game in Hod Hasharon where sixth ranked Hapoel Holon (8-6) defeated 10th ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-10) 90-82 on Monday. Bnei Hasharon trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-90 at the end of the game. Hapoel Holon made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Hapoel Holon outrebounded Bnei Hasharon 40-24 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. Forward Jasper Johnson (203-83, college: Delta St.) produced 28 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Josh Selby (188-91, college: Kansas) added 21 points respectively for the hosts. Hapoel Holon moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A. Bnei Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Hapoel Holon will face bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Eilat and hope to win that game.
