There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 4th placed Anzorena (1-18) was crushed by first ranked Ferrocarril O. (14-6) 99-69 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Ferrocarril O. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ferrocarril O. forced 20 Anzorena turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Ferrocarril O. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Anzorena was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Matias Cuello (190-91) who scored 20 points. American forward Willie Readus (201, college: Delta St.) chipped in 17 points. Five Ferrocarril O. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Rory Spencer (203-88, college: Georgia South) who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jorge Sanchez (193-77) added 14 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
