There was no surprise in Aldeota where 15th ranked SKY/Basquete (2-10) was defeated by eighth ranked Paulistano (8-6) 77-69 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69. Paulistano made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Paulistano outrebounded SKY/Basquete 49-29 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Renato Carbonari (206-87) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Cesar Araujo (201-81) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. Paulistano's coach Gustavo Conti used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Andrezao de Sousa (198-90) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and Romulo Vieira (193-92) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Paulistano moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Vivo/Franca. SKY/Basquete lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with ten games lost.
