Regular Season Round 24: Rieker KN - Levice 99-85

Rather predictable result in Komarno where third ranked Rieker KN (19-5) defeated 6th ranked Levice (9-14) 99-85 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Rieker KN. Levice managed to win third quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rieker KN forced 19 Levice turnovers. The best player for the winners was American point guard T.J. Bannister (180-84, college: Liberty, agency: KMG Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 assists. Croatian forward Sasa Jankovic (204-84) chipped in 27 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian point guard Luka Igrutinovic (193-92) who recorded 24 points and Croatian forward Eddi Jurjevic (202-93) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Rieker KN and five Levice players scored in double figures. Rieker KN moved-up to second place, which they share with Prievidza. Loser Levice dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. Rieker KN will meet league's leader Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Levice will play against Karlovka (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
