Regular Season Round 12: Njardvik - KR 76-86

Undefeated leader KR delivered the twelfth consecutive victory. This time they beat 6th ranked Njardvik (6-6) 86-76. The game was mostly controlled by KR. Njardvik was better in second period 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KR had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Njardvik was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Finnur Magnusson (208-85, college: Catawba) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five KR players scored in double figures. American point guard Stefan Bonneau (177-87, college: LIU Post) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international Logi Gunnarsson (190-81) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Njardvik. KR (12-0) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Njardvik at the other side keeps the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Snaefell and Thor Thorl. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Reykjavik IR.
