The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tehran: Mahram (#1) and Azad (#2). Azad was defeated at home 49-62 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Azad. The game without a history. Mahram led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mahram made 9 blocks. The former international Arman Zangeneh (202-93) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners. International swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87) chipped in 15 points. International Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-90) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and international guard Javad Davari (185-83) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Azad's coach Mehran Shahintab rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mahram (14-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Azad at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost.
