The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Sodertalje Kings as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sodertalje Kings defeated 4th ranked Sundsvall Dragons at home 84-72. The game was mostly controlled by Sodertalje Kings. Sundsvall Dragons managed to win second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Dino Butorac (192-90) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Danish guard Darko Jukic (198-90, agency: Two Points) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Akeem Wright (200-84, college: Kansas St.) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sundsvall Dragons at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Sundsvall Dragons will play next round against strong Uppsala Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Sodertalje Kings will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Eco Orebro at home.
