We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Toluca where 10th ranked Panteras (10-17) were defeated by eleventh ranked Gigantes (11-17) 77-61 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 29-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Tim Pickett (192-81, college: Florida St., agency: Interperformances) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Gigantes will face higher ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Panteras will play against Soles (#3) and hope to win that game.
