Regular Season Round 30: Titanicos - Fuerza Regia 107-82

We should mention about the upset which took place in Leon, where higher ranked Fuerza Regia (14-13) was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Titanicos (12-16) 107-82. The game was mostly controlled by Titanicos. Fuerza Regia was better in fourth quarter 27-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fuerza Regia 37-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Titanicos players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Fuerza Regia's players. American forward Jumaine Jones (202-79, college: Georgia, agency: SDJ Sports) notched 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the other American import guard Isaiah Wilkerson (190-90, college: NJIT) supported him with 17 points and 9 assists. Even 19 points by American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) did not help to save the game for Fuerza Regia. Paul John Hernandez added 14 points. Five Titanicos and four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Titanicos have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Titanicos maintains ninth position with 12-16 record. Fuerza Regia lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Titanicos' next round opponent will be Correcaminos (#12) in Ciudad Victoria.
