Everything went according to plan when BG Lulea (1-0) beat at home KFUM Blackebergs (0-2) 71-63 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-63. BG Lulea outrebounded KFUM Blackebergs 55-30 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BG Lulea made 9 blocks. Guard Joel Svensson (184-94) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and guard Anton Kobylak-Berglund (197-96) chipped in 16 points. Four BG Lulea players scored in double figures. BG Lulea's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Robin Ryan (191-87) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Gitmis Koral scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. BG Lulea will face Solna Branten at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. KFUM Blackebergs will play against Orongo Dragons and hope to win that game.
