The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kvarner as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kvarner smashed 6th ranked Gorica in Rijeka 93-69. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-69. Kvarner forced 21 Gorica turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Forward Ivan Milicevic (204-97) fired 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
