SM-sarja top team - Catz Lappeenranta (15-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked HyPo (7-9) in Hyvinkaa 60-54. The guests trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 16-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Alexandria Anderson (186-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Russian forward Elena Reshetko (184-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier, agency: Regeneracom Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds and point guard Anni Jamsa (169-95) added 5 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for HyPo. Catz Lappeenranta have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-1 record. HyPo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Catz Lappeenranta are looking forward to face ViVe (#7) in Vimpeli in the next round where they are favorite. HyPo will play on the road against the league's second-placed Peli-Karhut in Kotka and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
