Regular Season Round 31: Sichuan BW - Jilin NE T. 91-102

There was no surprise when 19th ranked Sichuan BW (5-26) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Jilin Tigers (20-11) 102-91 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Jilin Tigers. Sichuan BW managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jilin Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) helped adding 28 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 20-11 record. Sichuan BW lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the nineteenth position with 26 games lost. Jilin Tigers will meet bottom-ranked Chongqing FD (#20) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sichuan BW will play against Shandong Bulls in Jinan and hope to secure a win.
