Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Treviglio (10-5) defeated at home 7th ranked Omegna (8-8) 92-79 on Sunday. Omegna was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 30-9 charge of Treviglio, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Treviglio outrebounded Omegna 46-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Treviglio made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Raphael Gaspardo (206-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and the former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Devon Saddler (183-91, college: Delaware) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Treviglio and four Omegna players scored in double figures. Omegna's coach Alessandro Magro tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Treviglio moved-up to third place. Loser Omegna dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Treviglio will face Naturhouse Ferrara (#7) on the road in the next round. Omegna will play against Reggio Calabr. and hope to win that game.
