An interesting game took place in Avellino where higher ranked Air Avellino (7-8) was upset on its own court by fourteenth ranked Cimberio Varese (6-9) 91-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Cimberio Varese. Air Avellino was better in second period 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cimberio Varese forced 19 Air Avellino turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Cimberio Varese especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Air Avellino's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cimberio Varese moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Air Avellino lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Cimberio Varese will face AV Cantu (#14) on the road in the next round.
