Regular Season Round 16: UCAM Murcia - FIATC Joventut 70-77

There was no surprise when 9th ranked UCAM Murcia (8-8) lost at home to third ranked FIATC Joventut (12-4) 77-70 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 47-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely UCAM Murcia outrebounded FIATC Joventut 34-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Bosnian-Croatian center Goran Suton (208-85, college: Michigan St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St., agency: Court Side) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Jose Angel Antelo (206-87) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Brazilian center Augusto Lima (207-91) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for UCAM Murcia. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FIATC Joventut moved-up to second place, which they share with Real Madrid and Bilbao Basket. Loser UCAM Murcia keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. FIATC Joventut will face bottom-ranked Sevilla (#18) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. UCAM Murcia will play against CB Canarias (#12) in Tenerife and hope to win that game.
