Regular Season Round 15: Banco di Srd - Vanoli CR 88-82
Date: January 11, 2015
Not a big story in a game in Sassari where 7th ranked Vanoli Cremona (8-7) was defeated by third ranked Banco di Srd (11-4) 88-82 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-82. Banco di Srd made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Vanoli Cremona was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. American-Polish guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis) helped adding 22 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American swingman James Bell (198-92, college: Villanova) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import point guard Kenny Hayes (188-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: Priority Sports) scored 15 points and 4 assists. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Banco di Srd. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Grissin Bon RE and Umana VE. Loser Vanoli Cremona keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Banco di Srd will face Granarolo BO (#8) in Bologna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vanoli Cremona will play on the road against the league's leader Armani Milano and hope to win that game.
