There was no surprise when 11th ranked Givova Napoli (6-10) was defeated on the road by third ranked FCM Ferentino (11-5) 76-69 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Givova Napoli won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. FCM Ferentino made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Cameroonian center Paul Biligha (200-90, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Markel Starks (188-91, college: Georgetown) who added 12 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American guard Jarrius Jackson (183-85, college: Texas Tech) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FCM Ferentino maintains third position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Tezenis VE, which they share with Manital Torino. Givova Napoli at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Casalpusterlengo. FCM Ferentino will meet Lighthouse TR (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Givova Napoli will play against Manital Torino (#4) and hope to secure a win.
